York Theatre's 33rd Annual Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala Set for 11/10

The York Theatre (Joseph Hayward, Producing Artistic Dir) has announced that the 33rd Annual Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala will take place on Mon Nov 10 at 6:00 PM at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th St.) The celebratory evening will include performances from Christopher Sieber, Marilu Henner, and Rob McClure  with additional talent to be announced. Tickets are available at www.yorktheatre.org/gala. This year’s Gala will honor director Jerry Zaks with the Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theater, and Joan Ross Sorkin, librettist and lyricist and former York Theatre Board President, with The York Theatre Founders’ Award. Since its inception in 1988, the Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala has supported The York Theatre’s mission of developing new musicals and preserving notable works from the past.  Gala tickets include pre-show cocktails, seated dinner and a star-studded evening of entertainment.
