Barbara Whitman to be Honored at the Tectonic Theater Project Gala

Tectonic Theater Project (Moisés Kaufman, Founding Artistic Director; Matt Joslyn, Executive Director) has announced that producer Barbara Whitman will be presented with the James C. Hormel Spirit of Tectonic Award at A Tectonic Cabaret, the organization’s annual benefit gala, on Mon Oct 20 at the Edison Ballroom (240 W 47th Street). As previously announced, the evening will also honor actress and activist Uzo Aduba with The Jane Fonda Award. Directed by Amy Marie Seidel, the evening will be hosted by actor Michael Urie.  A Tectonic Cabaret will feature performances by comedian Hannah Gadsby,  Natalie Venetia Belcon and Beth Malone, Erin Morton, and puppetry by Dan Hurlin. The evening will also feature the costumes of Dede Ayite.  The A Tectonic Cabaret Benefit Committee is chaired by Ruth Fisher and Aaron Walton and includes Michael Graziano, Jeff LaHoste, Scott Johnson, and Tim Wu.
