On Christmas Eve Sharky returns home to care for his blind, aging brother. Drinking buddies Ivan and Nicky are also at the house, hoping to play some cards. However, the arrival of a stranger from the distant past raises the stakes. Sharky may be playing for his very soul.

“The Seafarer” opened at the National Theatre’s Cottesloe on Sept 28, 2006.  Mr McPherson directed a cast which included Ron Cook, Conleth Hill, Karl Johnson & Jim Norton.
