"The Producers" is a new musical based on the 1968 film of the same name, written and directed by Mel Brooks, about a down-on-his-luck theatrical producer and an accountant who hatch a scam to raise more money than needed for a B’way flop and pocket the difference.

"The Producers" had its World Premiere at the Cadillac Palace in Chicago, IL on February 1st, 2001 running until February 25th featuring a cast that included Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick among others.
