"The Boys from Syracuse" is the 1938 musical comedy based on Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors” following master-and-slave sets of twins, separated at birth and causing confusion with their various spouses and love interests in ancient Greece.

The  original  production  of  “The  Boys  From Syracuse” opened at the Alvin (Neil Simon) on Nov  23,  1938  under  the  auspices  of  George  Abbott. Mr Abbott directed a cast which included Eddie Albert, Jimmy Savo, Teddy Hart, Ronald Graham,  Wynn Murray,  Muriel Angelus, Marcy  Wescott & Burl Ives. George Balanchine was the Choreographer.
