Set in Montmartre Quarter of Paris, France, Moulin Rouge! The Musical tells the fictional story of a young poet/writer, Christian, who falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, cabaret actress Satine, while evoking the authentic atmosphere of the famous dance hall during the Belle Epoque at the turn of the 20th Century.

For The Record:

This production is on hiatus, due to the COVID 19 restrictions. But performances will resume on September 24, 2021! (A special dress rehearsal will be performed for frontline workers on 9/23/21.)

This new musical is based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film of the same name. A lab took place in NYC in November-December, 2017. It played a tryout at the Colonial in Boston in July 2018.
