"Morning's at Seven" centers on four sisters living near each other in a Midwestern suburb. They find their existence disrupted when one's son wants to leave home to get married and another tells her husband she wants to live apart from the sister who shares a house with them.

The original production of “Morning’s at Seven” opened at the Longacre on Nov 30, 1939 under the auspices of Dwight Deere Wiman. Joshua Logan directed a cast which included Jean Adair, John Alexander, Enid Markey, Russell Collins & Dorothy Gish. A revival of “Morning’s...” opened at the Lyceum on Apr 10, 1980 under the auspices of Elizabeth I McCann, Nelle Nugent & Ray Larsen. Vivian Matalon directed a cast which included Teresa Wright, Elizabeth Wilson, Nancy Marchand, Maureen O’Sullivan & Gary Merrill.
