The original production of “Bells Are Ringing” opened at the Shubert on Nov 29, 1956 under the auspices of The Theatre Guild. Jerome Robbins directed a cast that included Judy Holliday, Sydney Chaplin, Jean Stapleton, Peter Gennaro, Jack Weston, George S Irving & Bernie West. Mr Robbins and Bob Fosse staged the Dances and Musical Numbers.
