The 66th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be back this year, celebrating New York theater, it was announced today by David Barbour and Charles Wright, co-Drama Desk Presidents. The Drama Desk Awards are the only major New York City theater honors for which productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway compete against each other in the same categories. The year’s cutoff for Drama Desk Award consideration is May 1, and the nominations announcement will take place on May 16. This date replaces the originally announced date of May 2.
