The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Dir), dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, will honor André De Shields with the 2019 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre and producer Riki Kane Larimer with The York Theatre Company Founders’ Award at the 28th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala, to be held on Mon Nov 11, at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th St.) The VIP Reception will begin at 6:00 PM followed by a concert and award ceremony at 8:00 PM.
