Michael R Jackson To Receive William Finn Award at Barrington Stage Gala

Barrington Stage Company (Alan Paul, Artistic Director, Greg Reiner, Managing Director) is pleased to announce that Michael R Jackson will receive the William Finn Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre at the company’s annual fall celebration, BSC>NYC. This year’s event will be held on Mon Oct 27 at 6:00 PM at Chelsea Table + Stage at (152 West 26th St.) This year, BSC>NYC pays also special tribute to Eda Sorokoff, BSC Board Member Emeritus. Sorokoff served as chair of BSC IN NYC since 2008 and has been an enthusiastic supporter of the company’s work for many years. The event will be directed by acclaimed producer and director Richard Jay-Alexander, with Billy Stritch serving as music director. The evening will be hosted by Norm Lewis.  The evening begins with a cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner, and culminates in a special one-night-only performance. Additional talent appearing include Hugh Panaro,  Donna McKechnie and singer Storm Lange.  Funds raised from BSC>NYC will directly support New Work at Barrington Stage.
