New York Theatre Workshop (Patricia McGregor, Artistic Dir; Jeremy Blocker, Executive Dir) has announced that the NYTW 2023 Gala will honor Kelly Fowler Hunter, President of the NYTW Board of Trustees, and  Doug Wright, NYTW Trustee and Usual Suspect. The Gala will be held on Mon May 1 at 6:00 PM at Capitale (130 Bowery.) The evening’s program will be hosted by Tituss Burgess, directed by Kevin Cahoon, scripted by Emma Tattenbaum-Fine and feature musical direction by Will van Dyke. The live auction will be conducted by Charles Antin. The evening will also feature appearances and performances from Sean Hayes, Rachel Dratch, Christine Ebersole, Brandon Victor Dixon, Trey Anastasio, Lea DeLaria, Tamika Lawrence, Nicole Ari Parker, Heidi Schreck, Scott Frankel, Sherz Aletaha, Corey Mach, Brian Sears and Jeff Romley. The creative team will include production designer Frank J. Oliva, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer Megumi Katyama and line producer Rachel Frost. Terri Kohler serves as Stage Manager with Katherine Shea as Assistant Stage Manager. Tickets can be purchased at www.nytw.org.
