Primary Stages (Andrew Leynse, Artistic Dir; Shane D. Hudson, Exec Dir; Casey Childs, Founder) has announced that their 38th Anniversary Gala will honor long-time collaborators Charles Busch and Carl Andress with the 2022 Einhorn Mentorship Award. The event will take place on Tues Nov 15 at 6:00 PM at Sony Hall (235 W 46th St). The Einhorn Mentorship Award is awarded each year to someone in the Primary Stages community who has been a true mentor and inspiration to those who work with them. The gala is directed by Michelle Bossy, and will include cocktails, dinner and musical performances of songs from Charles Busch and Carl Andress’ body of work. Performers will include Kate Baldwin, Amber Martin, Zakiya Young the performance group America’s Sweethearts (Kristen Michelle, Traci Bair, Carly Kincannon), and surprise guests. Musical direction is by Will Van Dyke. The Live Auction will be led by Will Roland.
