York Theatre Co Announces "Rebuild The York" Campaign Leading Up To Gala Benefit Performance

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Dir; Evans Haile, Executive Dir) has announced an anonymous donor will match all donations this week up $50,000 as part of its “Rebuild The York” campaign which leads up to the Gala Benefit performance of THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS (THE MUSICAL!)…AND MORE!, which begins streaming on demand on Sun Apr 18, 2021 at 7:00 PM. The $50,000 gift is from a longtime supporter of The York who wants to encourage patrons to continue the generous support of The York following a water main break that devastated its longtime home at Saint Peter’s Church on January 4. The special benefit presentation is presented in association with Tom D’Angora, Michael D’Angora, and Tim Guinee. Donations may be made by visiting the GoFundMe link at gf.me/u/znnvib. With music by Eric Rockwell, lyrics by Joanne Bogart, and book by Joanne Bogart and Eric Rockwell, this special presentation is directed by Tom D’Angora and Michael D’Angora, with music direction and arrangements by Deniz Cordell and original director Pamela Hunt serving as artistic supervisor. Joining the all-star roster of cast members are Alexandra Billings, Charles Busch, Robert Creighton, Ana Gasteyer, Beth Leavel, Lauren Molina, and Sarah Stiles.
