Drama League Announces 2018 Artist Residency Program

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) has announced the theater directors and ensembles chosen to develop new plays and musicals as part of the 2018 Drama League Artist Residency Program. Public work-in-progress presentations will be held periodically throughout the year at The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas.) Schedules are available at www.dramaleague.org.  The Drama League Artist Residency Program offers director/collaborator teams and/or ensembles an opportunity to comfortably develop a new theatre piece at the Drama League Theater Center in Tribeca.  A residency stipend, rehearsal space, professional mentorship, administrative support, and community engagement allow directors to fully inhabit a process-oriented residency experience.  The 2018 Drama League Artists In Residence are  Colette Robert  (2018 Beatrice Terry Director in Residence) for her play THE HOLLAND SOCIAL CLUB PRESENTS THE 84TH ANNUAL STAR-BURST COTILLION IN THE GRAND BALLROOM OF THE RENAISSANCE HOTEL and Michael Levinton / Little Lord (2018 Impact Residency Director/Ensemble In Residence) for SKINNAMARINK. The Next Stage Resident Directors are Knud Adams, Shelley Butler Leigh Fondakowski &  Whitney White. The First Stage: Artists in Residence Projects are Lauren Z.
